This pattern was designed by famed quilt designer, Marie Webster and dates into the 1920's era. It is truly a "Showpiece" one that was completed and never used. An amazing amount of expertise and skill went into it, and fortunately, it has been safely stored for almost a hundred years.
This quilt measures 82 x 85". Hand appliqued with reverse applique work too. It has the tiniest stitches. The quilting is lush and done at an AMAZING 12 stitches per inch. Hand bound.
This quilt still retains light pencil marks where the quilter carefully marked her pattern.
